Are Left liberals losing their core base..?
In the wake of the tweet that PTI shared yesterday regarding some of the famous intellectuals named in Delhi riots, many supporters of these ppl have come to surface with accusations of faulty investigation. Stale practice.
Later, also came the clarification that their names are not in Delhi riots.
Below is the Times of India website link of one such news. Remember, TOI is India's highest circulated 'English' news-paper & its website is equally popular.
Pls go through the comments posted below the article and read them all. I also tried to check comment section of many other famous websites like National Herald, Indian Express, Hindu.. They have all published the news, but surprisingly comment sections are either disabled or one cannot access them easily. So, wherever you find readers' comments, read them all.
Now, the interesting findings..
- The core followers of liberal intellectuals who eat, drink, speak, wear and vomit English and write big articles in the big newspapers and big magazines, making big claims that they know everything inside and out... are gradually losing their core base.
-Remember, They play on language. They actually are the people who have created a divide between English and Hindi speaking population of India spreading the rhetoric that former group is of liberal ppl with broad mindsets and later ones are right wingers with orthodox beliefs.
- But, sadly for them, now even their English speaking intellectual base is receding. Many ppl are openly denouncing them, abusing them for playing sides in their favorite language, on their favorite news platforms...
You may ignore it, deeming it a small, avoidable finding. But, this is the knock of change. and they know it. And that is the reason for all of their desperation and anger...
